Actually agree with many points and the basic jist of the whole article. One general thing that I sometimes care to share with younger coleagues is to stop chasing the shortcuts, and get depressed if they are not promoted in a few years. In many ways it just serves well to 'do the work', make the mileage, etc. You can't cheat or avoid the work to gain the valuable experiences that shape you. Plus, people evolve during their career. But for that you need to take it more seriously than is stimulated by simplistic sloganism. Well, something like that.
