Recognisable. It seems another form of my favourite creativity-related quote “Without friction it remains fiction”. That friction can come from the process (the ‘dip’) but possibly also from forcing “relevance” into the mix. This is often considered to be a restriction which is supposedly taboo to let creativity flourish. I don;t necessarily agree. Just spawning ideas without any consideration for relevance may ‘officially’ be a good predictor for eventual quality, but I have not given up on creating just a bit more friction earlier on. Starting improving ideas not only towards the end.
Maybe put it like this: if creativity flourishes after a ‘dip’, imagine how it might fare after a double or triple dip… :-)
