Tend to agree, especially for commodity products. Many people might nowadays rather ask a few questions about the How, i.e. responsible production, ecological and social impact etc. in particular when they have alternative options to choose from. This is indeed still different from the deeper Why of the company itself. For major purchases or life style related, long-lasting, products, there might be a deeper investigation going into it and some concern for a match with at least a company's real values. But for 95% of purchases that would be lot of trouble. Still, for a company itself it still does not seem a bad idea to spend some time on the question Why do we exist, and are we currently living up to that.
